Consultations

  • As an herbalist I strive to create an environment where clients feel comfortable expressing the full picture of their health care needs and concerns. It is important to me that my clients feel fully heard and understood, and that they are treated with attentiveness and kindness. 

    I practice herbalism by bringing together Traditional Chinese Medicine, Ayurveda, and Traditional Western Medicine, which emphasize that one must seek to understand the entire person in order to provide specialized care.

  • Prior to meeting, new clients will be sent an intake form to fill out, which includes health care concerns and goals, current and past medical history, medications and supplements, and a disclosure and informed consent statement.

    Initial consultations consist of a 1.5-2 hour conversation in which we review the completed forms, discuss your current health state and goals, look at your medical history, and utilize traditional techniques like tongue and pulse diagnosis. All clients will receive a protocol recommending herbal medicine, nutritional support, and lifestyle changes that are designed to fit your pre-discussed budget, capacity, and needs.

  • I have Mondays and Thursdays, 9 am - 3 pm reserved as office hours for consultations. Scheduling can occasionally happen outside of these hours, please reach out if you need more options!

    • Consultations can take place at my home in Pine Plains, NY. Sessions can be held in the privacy of my 2nd floor office, or in the backyard by the garden, weather permitting.

    • Via Zoom. A link will be provided several days prior to the session.

    • If these options don’t work due to accessibility needs, I’m happy to discuss meeting in other public or private locations within the Hudson Valley.

  • All services are offered on a sliding scale basis. No one will be turned away for lack of funds. I am open to trade, barter, and skill sharing. Payments can also be made over time. Please reach out if you’d like to discuss these options.

    • Initial consultation, 1.5-2hrs: $75-250

    • Follow-up consultation, 20-45 minutes: $45-80

    • Longer additional follow-up sessions: $75-250

    *This pricing does not include the cost of suggested herbal remedies. Budgets and accessibility will be discussed during consultations.

    Payments can be made via cash, check, PayPal and Venmo, in that order of preference. 

  • Please provide three days' notice of cancellation so there is time for me to schedule someone else.

    Last minute cancellations will be placed at the end of the scheduling queue.
