Orb Weaver Ethos

To be an Orb Weaver is to believe in the connectivity of life. Orb weaving is to understand that we are all here together, and we are all integral to this world.

Herbalism is a joyful practice of communing with all beings. One of the herbalist’s roles is to facilitate the desire to know the plants, animals, and people around us. With these connections we can remember that we are not separate from the earth, but a part of it. This is vital for knowing who we are, what we want, and where we’re going.

Herbal medicine brings us back to ourselves, and to each other.

Each thing exists to nourish all others, and, in return, to be nourished itself.
— Vasant Lad

Why Herbal Medicine?

As a clinical herbalist I do not treat symptoms; I seek to understand each person as a whole and unique individual who is capable of shifting their health patterns. By using a holistic and energetic approach, I work with my clients to address the root cause of their health imbalances, thereby resolving symptoms.

One of the most important aspects of my clinical practice is creating an environment where my clients feel safe and comfortable talking about their needs and concerns. I believe that simply being listened to is a profound act of care, and can facilitate change in subtle ways.

Education, resources, and tools to understand ones own health patterns are another vital aspect of my practice; it is my goal to help people learn about their health and bodies in ways that feel comprehensive, empowering, and informative for ongoing healthcare support and decision making.

Health care is collaborative, and I am open to working with your established care team, if applicable.

I am committed to providing financially accessible care by offering sliding scale payments for services, and by facilitating open dialogue around financial capacity.
